Why control weeds?
Weeds reduce agricultural productivity, compete with native species, increase bushfire hazard, provide harbour for vermin and reduce water quality. They spread readily to neighboring farmland, bushland and roadsides.
Who is responsible?
All private landowners have a legal responsibility to control weeds on their property, which includes removal and prevention from spreading elsewhere.
Work with your neighbours to control pest plants and animals. By sharing the problem, you'll keep costs down and achieve a better result.
